How tankremoval works

The steps from permit to closure.

Six steps

Permit toclosure

  1. Planning & permits

We coordinate permits and inspection timing with you and the local agency.

  2. Empty & clean

The tank is emptied and cleaned; contents are characterized.

  3. Remove

The tank is excavated or dismantled and removed.

  4. Sample

Soil samples show whether there was a release.

  5. Remediate

Contaminated soil is excavated and disposed of.

  6. Close

Confirmation sampling, backfill and documentation for closure.

Plan for the soil: older tanks often leaked. Budgeting for sampling, and possibly some soil removal, avoids surprises at closure.
